TWIX - NAILED IT
A packaging design that weaponizes social media. A limited-edition Twix DIY kit built around the internet's obsession with "Expectation vs. Reality" fails.
00
problem
Twix is a passive snack. The challenge was to transform a classic candy bar into an interactive, shareable event that compels consumers to engage with the brand long after the initial purchase.
solution
Twix Nailed It. Leaning into the "Expectation vs. Reality" meme, the packaging was redesigned to include one factory-perfect Twix and one deconstructed DIY kit (biscuit, caramel, chocolate). The campaign challenges fans to recreate the perfect bar, knowing they will inevitably fail.
THE COPYWRITING: INCITING RIVALRY
The packaging copy dares the consumer to try. Lines like, "We made the Left, you make the Right," and "Think you can do better?" turn the unboxing experience into a direct challenge, playing perfectly into the brand's classic Left vs. Right rivalry.

THE ACTIVATION: DESIGNED TO FAIL
The brilliance of the packaging is that it’s built purely for social sharing. When consumers inevitably fail to recreate a perfect Twix, the mangled, ugly results are posted online under the hashtag #TwixNailedIt. The packaging turns the candy into a shared, comedic cultural moment.
